REVIEWSGRiD 2 Review
Grid 2 surprised me. I was going through the motions, getting used to the cars and their handling, when suddenly something happened. I started having fun.
State of Decay Review
Undead Lab's zombie-infested action title has finally hit XBLA. Is it worth a few of your precious Microsoft Points, or should you whack it over the head with a two-by-four and continue on your merry way?
E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...
WIth a PS3 copy of Dark Souls finally in my hand, I'm going to be making my way through the Undead Burg, yet again. I'll be taking this one in baby steps so as to not kill any merchants I f***ed with in my 360 review run.
I've also got Batman: Arkham Asylum in my 360's disc tray because Batman: Arkham City hasn't arrived at the SoCalGameRevolutionCompound yet. Also Enslaved. God! Lay off me already! I got the game!
**** it im going to say I pirated em even though thats not possible but lets go with that and all on PC lets see you look for them, then play them. Good luck.
Beat Rage single player the other day. Was very enjoyable, but I have to say it bothers the sh*t out of me when I beat a game, the credits roll, and then it hits the title screen again, and looks like you achieved nothing. No new game +, no change in graphic, and no post-end-game running around. I can load to the start of the final run, or start over. How anti-climatic.
Also playing Might & Magic Heroes VI....which, while is fun, is extremely disappointing with how many frigging bugs I've found. Randomly getting the wrong amount of gold/resources, Luck attacks not doing the extra damage they should, the map randomly not scrolling in any direction, enemies not taking damage to their HP when you hit them. How can a game ship like this? QA is a thing of the past.
Finally started Deus Ex, barely an hour in. To early to tell.
Still waiting (patiently) for Arkham City, and (so impatiently that I could wet myself) Skyrim. 11/11/11 can't come soon enough.
Yes there are but most of them veterans or fans of MGO, but it was always hard to start playing this game just becaue its not really noob friendly. Most of players there are like HEADSHOT HEADSHOT HEADSHOT. But a good game is always worth trying out, right?
Finished playing Portal 2 single player story. Deeply amusing and fun game. I need to track down someone that hasn't played it yet to play the co op with. The song during the ending credits wasn't quite as good as "Sill Alive", but not bad.
Still playing Rift. This weekend is a free weekend, which means bonus EXP and loot to subscribers, and a bunch of new folk wandering around the starter zones. They've also got a new world event going on which is glitched. They had to put the second part of the event on hold while they work on fixing it. There are some decent rewards to be had at least.
PC and PS3 can cross-platform play Portal 2.... I can join you too if you see me online. PSN: danielrbischoff My steam ID should be danielrbischoff or coolyfooly88
Holy ****. How did an Ace Combat game come out without me knowing?! Since playing Shattered Skies as a kid, Ace Combat has been the only arcade flight sim I'd ever look at. Sure, all the games have pretty much the same plot, and yes the cutscenes in AC6 were so bad I had to skip them even on my first run through the story, but I still love the series.
I had the same feeling a while back and when Steam had their summer sale they had the complete collection for like $10. I think the original is about $20 if you don't want the extras.
just recently discovered a love for Final Fantasy XIII. Everyone's pessimistic opinion of the game actually helped, i didn't over-anticipate it. Planning to get FF X when it gets re-released
I really gotta get back to playing it. I got to where it's an open world and fell into hours of just grinding for XP because I find the combat system fun. But life happened and I had to shelf it for a bit (read "over a year").
that's exactly the point im up to lol. But i'll try not to shelf it, i love the story and the characters in the game and i really want to see it through to the end before i start playing Arkham City, Uncharted 3 etc.
Forza 4, racing my 702 hp AWD Nissan Micra (Versa) against Ferraris. It's just like in real life, you can take a car that starts out with 97 hp and get it to 702 hp with no problems.
-League of Legends (mostly as Tristana). -Diablo 2 over Battle.Net with my best friend (I'm Barbarian, he's Druid) -Braid, on Steam (Finally added all my Humble Bundle games to Steam). Holy crap this is a clever game. -Halo: Reach
Dark Souls, RAGE, Uncharted 3 MP Beta and Crysis (got it for free off PSN FTW!) at the moment, getting Arkham City Tuesday at 12:01 AM. Playing a bunch of older games too, Heavenly Sword, Saints Row 2, Uncharted 2, Fallout New Vegas, Spiderman Shattered Dimensions, Mass Effect 2, Yakuza 3, and a lot of other stuff... haha
Ironically I never played Web of Shadows. Shattered Dimensions is a great game in it's own right. It's not open world like previous Spidey games but the different dimensions, skills, abilities, and gameplay for the different Spider men makes it feel different for each one (Noir, Ultimate, 2099, Amazing). Noir bing my favorite due to the more sneak style gameplay and
I'm taking a break from Dark Souls since my new computer just arrived. I just started X3: Terran Conflict and so far, judging from the very little I've played of X2, it seems to be not quite as complex. I hope that changes as I go on.
Naw, to be honest I'm not big on the whole pseudo-realistic military shooter thing. I'll take my ARMA 2 or my Halo, but not both.
Mostly just got it because I really liked STALKER and I wanted to play the second two games but I could only run the first. And Crysis is a pretty nice bonus too. I never thought a game that came out in 2007 would blow me the heck away in 2011.
Just finished Metro 2033. Great game with plenty of atmosphere. Thought the shotguns were a bit underpowered (can 1 shot anything in the head with a revolver but it takes 5 shots at point blank with a shotty?).
Playing Borderlands with a friend like once a week (he's busy with school so like Monday is our only day to play).
I'm playing through Alpha Protocol (picked it up for $2). It's an alright game. Kinda wonky AI, cover system and shooting, but an enjoyable experience.
Did you play it on PC or on a console? When I played the console version I found the shotguns to be next to useless since you can't ironsight them and it's difficult to aim otherwise, but on the PC aiming was so easy I was getting one hit kills every time I fired, especially with the double barrel.
I was on PC. I got the fully auto, 20 round shotty, so taking more than one or two shots was never a problem, but it seemed if I didn't aim directly for the head with it, no matter how close, it always took at least 4 shots to kill someone with it, even after a revolver shot to the stomach or a throwing knife in the back. Granted, I noticed it more against human enemies and towards the end of the game, but it still felt a little on the weak side.
