E3: PC or rather about the lack of it
By Starling
Posted on 06/15/13
E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

DAILY MANIFESTO

What Are You Playing? August 11th, 2012

Posted on Saturday, August 11 @ 10:30:00 Eastern by

I've got two reviews that need to be finished by Tuesday. The first being THQ's massive sequel, Darksiders II, which is actually pretty awesome so far! You'll have to stay tuned for the final verdict. The second review requires me to fire up the jet engine and playthrough Dust: An Elysian Tail, a game with more furries than I'm comfortable with.

And you know, I've been working all week, so I might take some time off to... pack up all my shit and get ready to move. SADFACE.JPG. I hate moving, but hopefully this one will go smoothly. Any downtime will be spent on Persona 4: Arena and Sound Shapes. I'm assuming you're not moving, so why don't you tell me...

What are you playing?

I think I'll play this game called "Exercise" It's this game where you basically just move around in a standard position for an hour or so sweating. Then after like a month of doing that someone comes up to you and says "Did you lose weight?"

You could just get food poisoning on purpose 4 weekends in a row and it achieves the same end results. Plus if you got a handheld or cellphone you can keep busy while spewing liquid pain from your posterior. You still break a sweat and your muscles are sore afterwards.

Do you have to set it to Very Hard in order to see the entire Story for everyone? I'm on Normal (because I suck at fighters) and have yet to unlock everyone's completed story mode.

No, I actually finished Labrys and Yu's stories BEFORE I found out how to change the difficulty. I just want to get a lot better at counters and combos so I can decimate a couple of friends of mine.

Yep. I played it on the 360 when it came out, but felt like playing it again (and I borrowed it from a friend on the 360, so not a double buy). Forgot how the Alan is a little off to the side, making the camera a little bit awkward, but otherwise a fantastic game.

Playing Spec Ops: The Line for a second playthrough, and getting in some Multiplayer. I may be biased in that I was in the military and have also been to Dubai, but right now Spec Ops stands as my favorite game of the year, even if the gameplay does seem like the illegitimate love child of GoW and Uncharted.

I've almost only been watching The West Wing for two whole weeks, what little gaming I did was on Skyrim.
I know I was supposed to do a Metal Gear marathon, but I have no willpower whatsoever. Whenever I put on MGS3 I just end up calling Paramedic every time I pick up a new source of food and laugh my ass off for fifteen minutes and then getting bored and going back to West Wing DVDs or Skyrim.

I finished up my first play through of the The Witcher 2 and, even though I have a bunch of games from the Steam sale to play, I've found myself mucking about with Sniper in TF2. I'm getting pretty deadly with the Huntsman.
