REVIEWSGRiD 2 Review
Grid 2 surprised me. I was going through the motions, getting used to the cars and their handling, when suddenly something happened. I started having fun.

Undead Lab's zombie-infested action title has finally hit XBLA. Is it worth a few of your precious Microsoft Points, or should you whack it over the head with a two-by-four and continue on your merry way?

Ubisoft Annecy's persistent push to bring stabby multiplayer to the masses sees them mixing things up and throwing curve balls at weathered fans like me.
E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

What Are You Playing? December 17th, 2011

I'm back in the stack, enjoying games I haven't had much time to play in the last few weeks. That's because I'm on vacation. You'll see a lot less of... ol'... danielrbischoff around these parts in the next week. Our Game of the Year Awards will start to trickle out on Monday but the words you read from me will be from the past... because I've already written them!
In the lead up to the holiday this year I'll be playing more Rayman Origins, catching up with Assassin's Creed: Revelations multiplayer, enjoying Skyrim outside of our Let's Play series, and maybe revisiting Mass Effect before the trilogy's conclusion next year.
I might also try to grind out what's left of any enjoyment to be had in Modern Warfare 3's multiplayer so I can trade it in.
Still mostly Skyrim & BF3 for me. Getting MW3 for Xmas, so looking forward to that. I also plan to play through Mass Effect 2 again. Got to spend some more beta time in SW: TOR. Kind of disappointed in it. I overhyped it for myself and it just doesn't set itself apart enough from other games. I kind of feel that it's just another MMO.
Every MMO coming out these days feels like a refined version of Everquest with trite little variations to make it stand out on the minimalist level. What the MMO industry needs is a rebirth of creativity, and serious and dedicated delving into the idea of a game as a social experiment/sandbox. I ignore conventional MMOs for the most part for the very reason TOR was boring, because in the end you are totally meaningless to the world it creates.
Retrogaming: Conker’s Pocket Tales (Gameboy Color): this is nothing like the N64 game. This one is for kids. It amazes me that Rare made this game, because it is pretty crappy. I couldn’t believe how sh*tty the graphics are. The graphics in the first level almost made me physically ill, they are that bad. They do get better in later levels. Mario Kart Super Circuit (GBA): I’ve never been a huge fan of the series, but the N64 (specially) and Wii games are good. This one and the SNES version I just don’t understand. What’s the big deal about these games? I can understand the SNES version’s tech back in the early 90’s gave it an edge, and so has its merits, but this one has no excuse. You can have fun with it, but it is way overrated.
Ive been stuck at work for the past 3 weeks. I get to go home Tuesday, so I will be stating "What will I be playing?" Im thinking of spending my money on Dark Souls, Skyrim, and LA Noire.
Played a bit of Skyrim yesterday. I finished off gathering all of the Shouts that I can get without do storyline dungeons, which is my next step in my evil plan to conquer the game. I found out that TF2 has started off it's Christmas event, so I spent a couple hours gibbing folks. During the first week, drop rates are doubled. I picked up more loot today than I have in the last three months. I'll probably play a bit of more Skyrim later on.
Mostly Skyward Sword, but I am also trying out Metroid Fusion on my 3DS, as I never played that on the GBA. I am digging it so far, and hope they do a release for Metroid: Zero Mission now.
World of Warcraft - Attempting the Raven Lord mount on a near daily basis while slowly gearing up for Dragon Soul Left 4 Dead - Bought it and L4D2 for super cheap on Steam. Finally getting around to play these games, they're awesome Ocarina of Time 3D - Now doing a 3-heart, no upgrade run. Once that's done, I'll do the same thing in Master Quest. Skyward Sword - Finishing up the main game (already beaten, just collecting stuff), and afterward I'll start Hero Mode
Playing TOR, and contrary to what everyone else here is saying, I'm loving it. I wasn't so thrilled with it when I played in Beta either, but now that I've got a few of my friends playing, and I'm not feeling like I'll have everything wiped out like I felt in beta, I'm really into it. The story for the various characters is just so damn entertaining.
I've been playing Gears of War 3. I decided to play that on Insane difficulty solo. Luckily I finished that up and played the RAAM's Shadow DLC. You can check out my review in my blog.
Currently, I'm playing Gotham City Imposters beta. Got my hands on a closed beta key.
Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey, I can see why Longo sings praises of the series so much. And Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, don't remember where the walker thing is so it's time to wander around.
TOR and Sonic Generations on 3DS. Had Christmas early this year with my parents since I'll be spending next weekend with the GF and her family. So that means I've been playing some Game Dev Story on my phone too. Strangely addicting game. Game #32 is sure to win GOTY though!
I had beaten Dark souls a few weeks ago and started digging into Skyrim. just the other day i started playing Dark Souls again, but now as a different character as opposed to new game +.
Finally managed to pull myself away from Skyrim (somewhat) to play NHL12 and RAGE. Got them both on Cyber Monday deals but have yet to touch them until recent. Although I may be picking up SW: TOR on Tues!
Skyrim. Everytime I try to log into SW:TOR I get stuck in a queue for a very long time due to the heavy population on the EU servers. To wait it out, I head into Skyrim, which leads to me forgetting all about Star Wars.
still playing skyrim, but I did finally open Assassins Creed Revelations and played that for a few hours. Very good game, not super different than Brotherhood, but still very fun.
Crysis 2 then moving on to finishing Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and Red Dead Redemption (I got carried away with hunting and never finished it) Daniel ruined the end for me...Then if I have time Red Faction Armeggedon...damn backlog of games to be completed.
