In a world dominated by violent media, Americans are no more eager to go to war than they were in the 1980s or the 1960s or the 1940s. Hasn't it always been someone else's problem? The overwhelming majority would rather go on thinking it had nothing to do with them and there...

What Are You Playing? December 7th, 2013

If you listen to this week's podcast, you'll hear about my failure to nab one of these sweet Limited Edition Zelda-styled Nintendo 3DS XLs on Black Friday. It's not an adventure quest like you'd find Link setting out on, but it's worth a listen on your lazy Saturday playing video games! Put us on your phone or laptop while you're mowing down enemies in Battlefield 4 or Dead Rising 3, but since I lived the podcast, I'll be out of the house today.

Aside from breaking news and announcements later today, I'll be out running errands and spending time waiting around during secret shopping activities. It's the holidays and where I live in the heart of Sillicon Valley, the streets, retail centers, and even the sidewalks are absolutely packed with people. STREET PASSES, BABY!

Nintendo 3DS has been at my side throughout 2013 with so many incredible games to play throughout the year. Here's a list of games I've loved on my 3DS and eventually my 3DS XL this year. There are more but these are the games I've reviewed for GR.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
Pokemon X & Y
Shin Megami Tensei IV
Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D
Mario and Donkey Kong: MInis on the Move
Shin Megeami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers
Fire Emblem: Awakening
Tokyo Crash Mobs

Even if I wasn't totally smitten with every major tentpole 3DS release in the past twelve months of 2013, this is an impressive list. So I'm taking my 3DS out this weekend, one of the last in 2013. How will you spend your weekend?
