LATEST FEATURESBeing A Console Is Actually Xbox One's Worst Asset
Microsoft's newest console has lots of different features, but video games might hold the device back from the software giant's true intentions.
Before Microsoft and Sony do something regarding their future in the video game business, I wanted to write, and I've wanted it for a long time now, but other things kept getting in my way, and fearing that tomorrow might be too late, today will have to do.

What Are You Playing? December 8th, 2012
Posted on Saturday, December 8 @ 10:05:58 Eastern by Daniel Bischoff
With the VGAs choosing The Walking Dead as the best game of 2012, I figured it's time I finished up the episodic series from Telltale Games. I'm about half way through episode 3 right now and I'll I can say is . Seriously, what the fuck, man? How could they....
Well, nevermind. I don't want to spoil anything. I'm also working on Far Cry 3 and I might find some time to hop into the new Battlefield 3DLC packs, like Armored Kill. Do you still need to rush to the vehicles in an all tank game? I'd like to think that I'll also find the time to get back into Guild Wars 2 this weekend while my girlfriend studies for her grad school finals.
ARGH! It froze on me just after beating the crap final boss and I had to redo Ilos AND the CItadel missions. How hard is it to port a five year old game properly?
I had serious issues getting into AC3 because of that. It is like they decided to explain EVERYTHING very slowly before letting you stab things. I honestly just wanted to stab things first. :(
I think a lot of it came from sales data saying "we need to reteach players who haven't played since AC2." I respect the move because its easy to recommend it for first time players, but I didn't like how long it took to get to fully grown Connor.
The problem is that Connor has literally 0 growth, skill wise, after you get to control him. As long as you can counter, you can kill even the toughest guards even before you train with Acchiles. And you can climb and freerun like a pro. I would have liked to see him slowly gain combat skills throughout the game until he is the nigh-invicible killing machine he miraculously starts out as.
@cheesegod I felt like the time you spend as a child was suitable enough, and if they had spent much more of the game as a character building skills, I would have had a problem with it.
Yeah on 360. Haven't tried the mp yet. Just started so I'm just figuring things out atm. Like the crafting, the map and other stuff I'm finding around like the wanted posters and hunting... So far its pretty cool. I like the crafting and upgrades.
Dragon Ball Z Budokai HD Collection, PES 2013 and Forza Horizon. That DBZBHDC port is quite nice, the menus are a bit clunky but the PS2 cell-shaded look of Budokai 3 looks really nice bumped up to HD, at least that's what I think. As for the games itself, I don't think they have any new content apart from Achievements, but both of those games had plenty of unlockables and extra content anyway.
As for episode 3 of the walking dead. I was playing it at 4 am in the morning and woke my roommate up when I just started screaming "WHAT THE FUCK! NOOOOO!"
That part literally gave me a panic attack. I had trouble breathing for a minute. First [REDACTED], then [REDACTED] and I still had to [REDACTED]?! Too much **** happened in ten minutes. It was overwhelming.
The ending is just as emotional, if a bit less HOLYSHITWHATTHEFUCKJUSTHAPPENED.
MGS Peace Walker, doing the second PW boss battle. Not enjoying those bosses, nobody plays Peace Walker online and it makes some sections harder than they should be. Also still playing Halo 4 online, can't wait to attempt some of those ridiculous DLC achievements.
Working my way through Dishonored, once that's done I've got Sleeping Dogs on the docket. I have next week off so I'm hoping for some snow so I can play "Try not to die while careening down a mountain strapped to 2 planks of wood".
I might much about in Firefall a bit to see if it appeals to me more than my first time playing it. So far it feels like a generic shooter with jetpacks. Other than that, I picked up KoA:R with it's DLC for about twelve bucks about a month ago, I might get into that a bit.
On an actual PS2 my friend. Amazing game indeed. I'm now actually hoping that The Last Guardian makes it onto the PS4 instead of the PS3, that way I can skip the PS3 and just go for the PS4 when it eventually comes out.
can anyone tell me just how disappointing AC3 was? I bought it for my Wii U so i'm waiting till christmas to play it and I just want to know if i'm likely to keep playing it and not go straight back to Halo 4 when i've finished the first few sequences. I enjoyed the first two games but didn't really bother with Brotherhood or Revelations, and I couldn't care less about the multiplayer.
TF2 and D3. Replaying Hotline Miami for fun, too. It's one of the *very* few games where you get stronger as you progress 100% based on skill improvement.
I cant decide whether to get it. After d3 im kinda confused whether it was the game or the genre ive outgrown. If its the genre im scared to get tl2. But it looks solid if you have someone to play with.
Just finished my first Dishonored playthrough. Finished with high chaos and got the sad ending, but I managed to complete it without upgrading my magic, which made things a considerably larger pain in the ass. Just killing everyone you come across may be easier than the stealth approach, but it actually makes the game more difficult in the long run.
I'm dreading my second attempt because I'm going for 100% stealth/non-lethal. I fear for the welfare of my television during that time, as It's highly likely I will chuck my controller through the screen.
You speak truth. I'm guessing that once I start a playthrough in which I can actually use magic (upgraded Blink, Bend Time, etc.) it will make things exponentially less frustrating. The stealth and character control mechanics aren't perfect, but it's still a lot of fun. I've heard somewhere that you keep all upgrades and equipment you have through subsequent playthroughs. Any knowledge of this?
I think I'm going to take a breather from it for a bit though. Might pick up Assassin's Creed 3 multiplayer or Borderlands 2 again barring my ability to mooch Black Ops 2 off a friend of mine again for a bit. True Vault Hunter Mode is face-meltingly difficult though. I've found myself at somewhat of an impasse with Zero: I have three missions available to me, and my gear isn't good enough to complete any of them on my own.
Borderlands 2 and the 2 DLC packs im enjoying captain scarlet's pirates booty a little bit more then i think i should be, Also picked up a copy of The PlayStation all stars battle royale i couldn't resist that cross buy deal for my Vita heaven knows it needs SOMETHING.... And Resident evil 6 because im a complete sucker for anything under the Resident evil banner except those awful live action movies... And i dabble in Black ops 2 but its not really that great i pretty much got it for the zombies...

That's an excellent game, shame the next installment is vaporware as of now.
