LATEST FEATURESBeing A Console Is Actually Xbox One's Worst Asset
Microsoft's newest console has lots of different features, but video games might hold the device back from the software giant's true intentions.
Before Microsoft and Sony do something regarding their future in the video game business, I wanted to write, and I've wanted it for a long time now, but other things kept getting in my way, and fearing that tomorrow might be too late, today will have to do.

What Are You Playing? February 16th, 2013

Beyond that, I'm going to screw around with Urban Trial Freestyle on the PlayStation Vita for another review. Free time this weekend will be spent on Fire Emblem: Awakening (finally got some streetpass opponents) or Planet Puzzle League, which begs the question:
Why hasn't Panel de Pon really caught on in America? I realize it's had a few hits, notably Tetris Attack and Pokemon Puzzle League, but in my opinion, Panel de Pon is on par with Tetris as the greatest puzzle-video game ever.
I never finished FFIX either, but not for lack of trying. Years ago I played on the PS1 disc based version and right at the start of disc 4 the screen would go black and never load. Kind of a rare glitch from what I gathered. So I started over again at some point, and it happened again. I have it on my PSP but i've always been afraid to give it another go!
I really enjoyed IX. It was easy up until just before the final set of bosses, where I got stuck because I went in too early and couldn't go back. I tried again a couple years later and had a blast. It was probably the last "traditional" JRPG I really enjoyed.
It took me a while to get into that game, but I ended up really liking it. it is hard in the end, so make sure you keep a save before the 'point of no return' in case you need to do some treasure hunting.
The recent sequel announcements have me finally starting The Witcher, and I'm also finishing all of the Riddler trophies in Batman: Arkham City to get to the final showdown with him. I really like The Witcher so far, but I'm disappointed there hasn't been boobies in the first 20 minutes of the game. I was promised boobies......
I loved interrogating a thug, collecting trophies, solving puzzles, and jumping off the side of a building to glide across the city and start all over again. That game makes you feel so much like Batman, I love it.
The only thing I'm hoping for in the 3rd game that they haven't really captured yet is Batman's vehicles. Even just some mini-games involving them would round out the complete experience.
As long as it's not a QTE, I'm on board. Maybe Batman will have to head to Metropolis for a meeting with Superman, to show him how to be in a good game, and we can use the Batmobile to get there. But really, he'd probably just use that Skyhook from The Dark Knight for convenience.
Have you played through the previous dungeons again once you've rescued the previous person? There are bonus shadow bosses and plenty of loot/quest items.
I see a lot about p4g here. I have a vita but not p4g because I'm not really big into RPGs (and I'm not very good at them). Is p4g a good game for a novice casual player, or should I leave it for the hardcore RPG fans?
If you play on Easy, and glance ocasionally at a FAQ you can ejoy it without needing to be a hardcore expert on RPG's, I'm not a hardcore expert, and i've enjoyed the heck out of Persona 3 and now Persona 4.
I actually don't use either if them. I run Chrom, me, Fredrich, lon'qu, panne, Anne, virion, vaike, Lissa, maribelle, prince Marth, chroms daughter, I think that's it
I started another file with perma death after reviewing and now I am way OP because I just summoned Risen all over the map not wanting anyone to die ever.
I started Skyrim over now that the PS3 version is actually fixed. 14 hours and no freezes or bugs whatsoever (except a hargraven corpse falling out of the sky at one point). I should go to Solstheim soon, Is level 17 okay for Dragonborn?
The THUg games were pretty cool for what they were, but the series peaked at THPS3. I rented THUg when it came out and felt like I had matured past that kind of humor.
For me i think it peaked at THPS4, since that one felt the longest with the best levels and most goals, but the TH games are some of my favorite games, even the later ones. THUG was my most anticipated game ever though. I was first year in high school and i remember i literally could not wait for it to come out. Never been that excited for a game after that.
Playing some System Shock 2. I'm thinking of getting Dead Space 3, but 60 bucks is a lot of money, and while I think the first two games were well made, I really don't rate them as very good games. I suppose I'd like to see what happens in the story, although all I remember from Dead Space 2 was a bunch of people screaming profanities at each other.
Played Tetris Attack in college. Playing against a friend was a blast. A battle of wills. But I started seeing goddamn blocks in my head when I closed my eyes, which my friend suffered from too. Super annoying. And ways we got too good and would lag up the SNES.
Haha, that sounds awesome. I've never done that with SNES Tetris Attack, but it was easy to on the Game Boy. I broke Tetris DS with a marathon mode that lasted months by just leaving the DS closed and plugged in.
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. Played the every loving sh!t out of SMW back in the day, but for whatever reason never played Yoshi's Island as more than an in-store demo. The art style is really neat, and the gameplay is what I'd expect.
I'm still working my way through Dragonborn. There is a surprisingly large amount of content in that DLC. Far more than in either of the first two put together.
Ni No Kuni. I think I'm getting close to the end, probably 80% progress in the main story. I don't know if I'll platinum this one. If I see Derwin has another quest for me I'll go insane.
I'll be playing Metal Gear Rising when I get it, but the Aus release date has been pushed back to the 26th. It's not much but it's annoying. Until then I'll be continuing my replay of Mass Effect 3. Something happened with my origin account and now all of my accumulative achievement progress (for the ones I don't have) have been reset, which is incredibly annoying because I was halfway through the one that takes the longest (5000 kills)
Homework, man. Fucking week seven (of ten) slump. Two weeks I've gone without games and I'm getting the itch. I probably won't have time for another three weeks, because I'm the president of the film club, and we've got two major events back to back, followed by finals the week after. School sucks balls, man, and not in a good way sometimes. I'm going to have to resort to browser-based games while I'm at work.
ALAN WAKE: AMERICAN NIGHTMARE finished the story the other day... its a really good game, MR. SCRATCH is a great villain... now im working on the arcade mode, which is really fun... cant wait for alan wake 2!!! LIMBO: ive played about 1 hr so far... this game has great level design, its very unique... TRIALS EVO: just working on medals & achievements... HALO 4: mp & spartan ops...
(ive been addicted to arcade games lately... and looking back, IMO some of these arcade games are as good if not better than many full releases...)
Picked up Dead Space 3 yesterday. Any and all doubts I originally had about the game veering too far from what made the first two games great have been swiftly eradicated. My only complaint so far is that the weapon crafting takes a lot of getting use to.
Now that I've made it as far into the game as I have, I see that the demo was a little bit of a mind****.

Maybe if the world is large enough theyre'll be a reason to include them, even if it is a story-scripted sequence of some kind.

He's paired with Cherche. I figured her bat-style would mesh well with his bloodlust.
