Peace in the Era of Call of Duty

In a world dominated by violent media, Americans are no more eager to go to war than they were in the 1980s or the 1960s or the 1940s. Hasn't it always been someone else's problem? The overwhelming majority would rather go on thinking it had nothing to do with them and there...

What Are You Playing? February 1st, 2013

You might have noticed that some regular Daily Manifesto features have gone missing over the past two weeks, whether that meant things like New Video Games just took a total pass or I informed you all that The People Speak kinda started to suck. I'm not ending The People Speak, but it is going to be reformatted to encourage better discussions and community interaction.

GameRevolution is full of camps. You have those readers following on Twitter, occassionally visiting the site or even commenting. Then you have the commenters who like to attack anyone and everyone, especially if they deserve it. There's Facebook, where a healthy audience of gamers check out the news on their way to that one hot chick's or dude's profile. And then you have the forums.

I love our forums, obviously. I guess they were a pet project to begin with but the community is great thoughout the site and you'd be hard pressed to find more totally unserious gamers. Each community segment has a funny, jaded, and genuinely lovable group of gamers that make it what it is.

There's a place for all gamers, and that's GameRevolution. How we've put up with some of you for as long as we have is beyond me. I'm finishing our 2014 schedule of Daily Manifesto posts, so look out over the next two weeks as things come together while other things fall apart.

Oh yeah, I'm playing GTA Online on PS3 all weekend (probably, some of the time) and then there's the Super Bowl!
