The first FPS in history where looking at your friends’ screens isn’t cheating; it’s a requirement.

This actually might be "your dad's" Japanese TRPG, and for those with a hankering for it, that can be a very good thing.

What Are You Playing? January 11th, 2014

Posted on Saturday, January 11 @ 10:34:05 Eastern by

This week's free PlayStation Plus games include DmC: Devil May Cry and Don't Starve on PS4. That's probably what I'll be playing this weekend. Instead of trying to clean the streets up in San Andreas or bounding to the top of the flag pole in Super Mario 3D World, I'll probably just enjoy the games subscribers all got this week.

If I play antyhing else, it'll probably be on handheld where most of my 2013 attention was spent. I've got several Vita and 3DS games to play if I get bored, which probably won't be a problem. Hopefully next week will be a bit more entertaining.

The first week of new releases in 2014 was decidely underwhelming, but next week should see a few more worthwhile experiences, including the formerly Vita-exclusive Assassin's Creed in a downloadable turn on console, indie up-and-comer The Banner Saga, and the first half of Double Fine's Kickstart project Broken Age.
