For Obsidian's crowdfunded love letter to Infinity Engine games like Icewind Dale and Baldur's Gate, I was impressed by its willingness to pull back the curtain and let me see the machinery behind it.

Yesterday, while cleaning up my media center, I found my copy of Ratchet & Clank: Into The Nexus, which I bought sometime before Christmas last year. I had been pretty excited about this game pre-release, what with it being the first "traditional", albeit shorter than usual,...

DAILY MANIFESTO

What Are You Playing? January 4th, 2014

Posted on Saturday, January 4 @ 09:00:00 Eastern by

When it comes down to it, January is only really good for games you didn't play the previous year. Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed for iOS and Android devices? Don't Starve: Console Edition? Not to insult these and other games coming in the first month of 2014, but damn this month.

So bored. So cold. So... well, to be honest I'm not really that bored. I've got Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online. I've got The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. I've got Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag on my brand new PS4. I've got a whole bunch of noobs to stomp in Call of Duty: Ghosts on Xbox One. There's no short supply of gaming entertainment to enjoy.

I'll probably look for a few more games to review this month while I'm at it, especially after so many of you demanded more reviews, more indie games, more everything from GR. That's cool. We want to deliver. In the mean time, I'll be enjoying the Bravely Default demo to wait patiently for the first game I'm dying to play in 2014.

What are you playing?
