LATEST FEATURESBeing A Console Is Actually Xbox One's Worst Asset
Microsoft's newest console has lots of different features, but video games might hold the device back from the software giant's true intentions.
Before Microsoft and Sony do something regarding their future in the video game business, I wanted to write, and I've wanted it for a long time now, but other things kept getting in my way, and fearing that tomorrow might be too late, today will have to do.
Months ago,...
I'm obsessing over my spot on the leaderboard in the warehouse this weekend. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD is spinning on my hard drive and I've only got a few more days of leaderboard dominance until the flood gates open up and every score is maxed out at 999,999,999.
In addition to working on that review, I'll be making my way through Summer in Persona 3 Portable. I started a second playthrough as the female MC to see what's so different. October seems so far away and, unfortunately, so is Persona 4: Golden. *Stares at second Vita memory card* Maybe.... Anyway,
I was showing Jetpack Joyride to a friend the other day and of course it totally hooked me again. Also downloaded Mutant Blobs Attack. Yay for portable gaming!
Halfway through MGS3, it will be followed by Peace Walker, the MSX Metal Gear games if they're any fun, MGS, MGS2 and MGS4. Hopefully the trophy patch will be out by then.
BUT, I've just begun watching Breaking Bad on Netflix, and I borrowed West Wing DVDs from my brother, so I will most likely not play anything (or move from my bed for that matter) for the next day or two.
I'll probably wrap up Darksiders at some point this weekend and then move on either Arkam Asylum or The Force Unleashed 2, or maybe From Dust, or perhaps, Terraria. Or maybe Steam will entice me to buy something else to add to the list.
Eh? How so? Those were the demos they were showing at Comic-con. They are basically the only video games I've played. I hated the RE6 demo. Just so you guys know if you hated the gun monsters in RE5 there is a whole bunch of bad AI gunmen in this one. Anyways the Wii U is extremely fun and extremely light weight thought I'd snap it in half when I first held it.
I think its awesome very deep tech tree and micro management my only gripe would be the tutorial as I've never played the 4x genre before so a bit of a learning curve would still highly recommend to any fan of civ or strategy
Just picked up Back to the Future, Alan Wake, and Bioshock 2. Been focusing on alan wake the most. I also have my fingers crossed that Left for dead 2 gets voted to be the next sale.
Dust 514 beta. I'm already bored with it. Very disappointing this far along in the beta. The graphics are awful, the maps (two) are bland, its incredibly laggy, I've noticed lots of clipping... I could go on. This game is free. I get it. However, it's not what I would expect from CCP.
eating some white veggie pizza mmmmm garlic. As for games I'll prolly pour myself a couple of drinks and get as smashed as Max Payne...He makes a good drinking buddy
Dust 514.......needs about 2 more years of work. It's at the same level of polish as MAG, at launch. Everything is a chore. Killing is a chore. Customizing is a chore. Not quitting the game is a chore.
I went back to it and tried to see if there was something I was missing, and no, there wasn't. It's mediocre. If you like shooters, well hey yeah, there ya go. It lets you shoot stuff. Probably the most fun you'll have is shooting 18 rockets a tank, only for it to kill you with one hit.
i thought it was better than okay. I was in the mood for a long, emotional, fantastical, story-driven game and in that sense it delivered. i even liked snow as a character, does that make me weird or unique?
Overall I like it. I'm with damo_rox in liking story-driven games, and the character interplay is great. The problem is that, to me, it seems that everything is kind of 'resolved' in the last 1/4, so I think it gets deflated evaluations from that. I'll post more when I finally beat it.
This month was Lords of Waterdeep, Betrayal at the House on the Hill, and Cards Against Humanity. Big board game fan, and host a monthly board game night. If you find yourself bored in the Midwest...
SWToR and some Terraria. Enjoying Terraria quite a bit for the tiny amount I spent on it in the Steam sale. Also I'm watching the sale closely and buying anything of interest.
