What Are You Playing? June 30th, 2012

Posted on Saturday, June 30 @ 10:30:00 Eastern by

I'm feeling kind of fatigued to be honest with you. Spec Ops: The Line wore quite heavily on me and as it was said on GameRevolution Radio this week, I've been playing so many games lately. I might try to get up and out of the house this weekend.

That said, I don't think I'll be able to stay away from my consoles or handhelds for very long. Maybe I'll start that new playthrough of Deus Ex: Human Revolution and nab that Foxiest of the Hounds trophy sometime this summer. Maybe I'll finally break the seal on Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. But enough about what I might play....

What are you playing?

Just finished Deus Ex The Missing Link(It wasnt that great). and Hard Reset(Awesome graphics and shooting, storyline kinda went off on a tangent.)

Ill be trying to finish Metro 2033 and the witcher 2.

Yeah Missing Link is OK. It doesn't really add much. Metro 2033 is gorgeous but I couldn't get motivated enough to finish it.

I was supposed to start my MGS marathon, but replaying the ME3 endgame to see the extended cut gave me an urge to replay the series. Since I'm on PS3, that only means 2 and 3, though...
I also played the new Walking Dead episode yesterday. And then replayed both released episodes doing the opposite things I'd done previously to see how it affects the story. It's pretty impressive.

In theory it's monthly, but Telltale really has a "it'll come out when it's ready" mentality. The latest episode took two months instead of one, but it was worth the wait. Gameplay-wise, it's what Heavy Rain should have been.

its pretty goddamn engrossing. all the decisions made by your character are soooo hard

and it NAILS the style of the comic book and avoids the direction of the TV show adaption which was very smart

Well I've been getting some people to join the GR rockstar club since I'm so lonely playing Max Payne. I've been thinking of picking up Spec ops but money is tight since I lost my job and don't know if I have enough games to trade in to equal $60. I'll prolly also work on my sniper rifle class in BF3. Might trade in ghost recon since they really took the fun out of that game with using the call of duty format. Plus they never fixed the multiplayer problems yet.

D3, TF2--especially TF2. The Special Delivery game mode fixes pretty much every problem that CTF in pubs has. It's just brilliant.

I'll have to try it out soon. I couldn't stand CTF after a while and played almost exclusively on Payload maps.

TF2. I can't look at the world through the Pyro Goggles, it's just too surreal. I did get myself a Pomson 6000 though, so I've been toying with Engineer a bit. I've also been spending a fair amount of time as Sniper on the new map. They finally made one where Sniper can act like a Sniper and not do that weird jumping around half dancing lunacy that seems to be norm on most maps.

After seeing Raiders of the Lost Ark in the movies (for a kind of classic movie screening) i've been in an Uncharted mood and gone back to Drake's Fortune. Also seriously considering getting a PS Vita for the same reason, Golden Abyss looks pretty good.

Finished up Rage a few days ago, and I actually thought the whole game was really good. I started Littlebigplanet a while back and only made it about halfway, so I wrapped that up. Next is probably Killzone 3. And finishing that will bring my backlog down to 5 games.

i thought that game was unique (and ahead of its time with some elements) but incredibly frustrating at many, many points

But def was the reason for me getting excited for Heavy Rain and this new Ellen Page thing! Can't wait
