REVIEWSGRiD 2 Review
Grid 2 surprised me. I was going through the motions, getting used to the cars and their handling, when suddenly something happened. I started having fun.
State of Decay Review
Undead Lab's zombie-infested action title has finally hit XBLA. Is it worth a few of your precious Microsoft Points, or should you whack it over the head with a two-by-four and continue on your merry way?
E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

What Are You Playing? March 17th, 2012

This copy of Mass Effect 3 keeps staring me down. I've started to lag a little bit with my Mass Effect 2 playthrough. Why I thought I could start a brand new character for ME3 and bring her through each game way back in December is beyond me. Of course, I wasn't going to finish in time for the new game's release. So I guess I'm playing ME2 this weekend.
SW:TOR free weekend. I've wanted to give the game a try without actually spending any money, so this works out well for me. Right now I've got a Sith Assassin to play around with. After playing so many games where you're the hero out to save the world from the bad guys it's deeply amusing to be all dark and evil. I haven't decided if I'll stick with it after the trial ends, but so far it's a decent enough game. A bit too much of a WoW clone, but aside from that I like it.
Just finished with Darkness 2. What the hell? This game was great! The love Digital Extremes put into it is something I haven't seen in a long time. If only it had been... Twice as long, maybe? Feels like they barely scratched the surface of some mechanics, while others needed a bit more polish.
If you own it, don't skip out on the Co-op, even if that's not your thing. Every character has a unique weapon (unique even to the main campaign) that (shock!) actually makes them play differently! AND they have their own dialogue/interactions with the characters from the main campaign and manage to come off as (DOUBLE DOG SHOCK!) actual characters! If they had taken the co-op resources and poured them back into a meatier main campaign...
After I finished that review I wondered what kind of single-player campaign they could have made if they'd taken the co-op characters and made a narrative hopping campaign that put you in the shoes of each of those where you eventually all come together in the end.... There's a ton of potential there, really hope they pull out all the stops with III.
The Old Republic free weekend and Metal Gear Solid The Twin Snakes. I picked that up a LONG time ago and just decided to play that the other day so that I can play the HD collection at some point.
I've got Twin Snakes and the HD collection staring at me right here. Hopefully I'll get a long weekend to marathon as much as I can through those soon.
I will be purchasing and playing Journey. I also think Resident Evil: Raccoon City drops soon? I will pick that up, much to the dismay of my mother who hates zombie games. But since my 55" TV is down stairs, she will just have to deal.
Mass Effect 3! Just got my first multiplayer class to lvl 20 (adept). Decided not to promote it. I don't care about my N7 score & don't see the benefit of promoting otherwise. If it gave you like a million credits, then I would do it.
just finished my first playthrough of ME3. I must say, even though the ending could have been better, i expected a lot worse after seeing all the *****-fits on the web
I finally got Rayman Origins, so I've been enjoying that. I'm also getting back into Skyrim a bit since I finished ME3. I also wanted to get Kingdoms of Amalur, but my usual store only had a French version, and videogame French dubs are absolutely terrible (though most of you will have to take my word for it...), so I'll wait a week or two for that.
Currently trying my hand again at Dead Island. I'm woefully out of practice though, since I haven't played it in ages. So instead of picking up where I left off with Sam B, I decided to start a new campaign. Had a lovely time sunday playing Supreme Commander FA with 5 buddies. I ended up losing my commander first, all because my two opponents decided to drop Aeon experimentals on my head (the huge flying saucer) because they couldn't beat my shields and defense. Other than that: still giving the Company of Heroes original campaign a shot, one mission per evening. Mad fun, I like it even better than Relic Entertainments' later Dawn of War II series (same engine though). In between I try to spend a few hours on SWTOR.
