What Are You Playing? May 19th, 2012

Posted on Saturday, May 19 @ 10:00:00 Eastern by

A long week of pre-E3 2012 events is capped off with a lot of exhaustion and the knowledge that I'm not going to be allowed to sleep in late today! BOOOO. Instead, I'll be heading to a graduation party because it's that time of the year and people I know are finally finishing school! As I stick my PlayStation Vita in my back pocket and hope no one judges me anti-social (I am antisocial), I'll be wondering what you're all playing this weekend.

Remember to check out our E3 Betting Pool and ready yourself for the onslaught of new games, previews, and hands-on impressions that is E3. Will I finish Persona 3 Portable before then?

What are you playing?

D3 of course! Also tried out the Rayman Origins demo on my 3DS. Pretty fun but I probably wont' get it right away just because I'll still be playing D3.

I'm playing the Waiting Game. Ordered up parts for my first ever Computer Build. It's going to be a beast, with a GTX 680, i5 3750K, and other assorted PC parts that I don't understand 100% of the way. Good thing I know friends in real life who've done this sort of thing before, else I'd be buying a very expensive room décor.

Batman: Arkham Asylum! It's so freaking good, I can't believe I missed out on it when it first released! I remember playing the demo before it came out and not liking it much. The demo did not do it justice at all! I can't wait for Arkham City GOTY to get here now. I think I'm close to finishing Arkham Asylum, so I'll probably start Rayman: Origins later today.

It is my son's 2nd birthday and my 11th anniversary. So there is going to be a lot of spending time with with the family and in the down time Diablo III and Max Payne 3 just like most of the world.

Diablo III with a couple of real life friends. Just started Act II Nightmare. So far I'm a little disappointed with the Witch Doctor, but from watching my buddy, if you like casters at all roll a Wizard for facerolling.

Alternating between finishing my Mario 3D Land file, and starting Xenoblade Chronicles. At the moment, I'm wondering why those "Project Rainfall" jokers were so desperate to get Xenoblade Chronicles localized in the U.S., because it's been pretty mediocre so far. But I'm still really early in the game, so hopefully it improves.

My girlfriend insists I have terrible taste in games and is making me play hers. So I am on Planescape: Torment. I normally have troube playing older looking games but this is pretty good so far.

Finally went back and finished Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The ending was a bit meh, and the inventory system sucks (it can thankfully be modded into a much better system if you play it on PC) but aside from that it was quite good. Right now I'm downloading Tera. Amazon had it on sale for $24.99, which comes with a free first month sub and a green beret of some king. I'm always looking for a new MMO to play, and the combat system intrigues me.

Mirror's Edge, FFXIII, Civ5. Supposed to have a Civ5 LAN party today too, hope that pans out.
