What Are You Playing? November 26th, 2011

I'm going to be enjoying more platforming deliciousity in Rayman Origins. I might play more Skyrim this weekend too. The Steam Autumn Sale kind of sucked some money from my wallet as well. 8 games for $20! And there are more sales today!
Still mostly Skyrim and BF3 for me, but I will be checking out the SW: TOR beta too. Really hoping it's not a let-down from my already high expectations.
Just got Portal 2 as a gift from a friend, so been playing that. Have also been re-playing Beyond Good and Evil after seeing the recently released concept art of the sequel, and have been playing through the original Spyro trilogy for nostalgia's sake.
I thought I already posted here but must have accidentally posted somewhere else....I'm playing Skyrim and Fusion: Genesis. Debating between Arkham City and Battlefield 3. Which to play?
Mostly Skyim, not going to run out of things to do on that for a while. Also got Saints Row 2 on Gamefly, have played a little of that. Then the Steam sale hit so downloading Mass Effect 1&2, Rage, and Fallout: NV. Needless to say I won't be short on things to play!
Final boss onDark Souls! took me 91 hours but I'm there. Then it's finally off to play my copy of Deus Ex with a sprinkling of Skyrim thrown in when I'm tired of cold cocking people from behind.
I'm playing the "Get good grades in University" game.
For a Pay to play game, it's on the rather expensive side, clocking in at roughly 500 bucks a month. Also, it's not the kind of game you can play without players guides, and these guides (also sold by the company) are not cheap, sometimes as much as 150 dollars a piece! Ouch. Additionally, like some other MMOs, the operate on a "hard reset" where your progress is all but wiped out every so often. Unlike WoWcraft which does this every 2 years or so, this game does it about every 4 months. The downside is that you need new players guides every time they do this, so it gets expensive.
One of the nice things about this one though, is that unlike most MMOs, when you see a girl, you know it's a girl. It's a refreshing change. Additionally, you have it on pretty good authority that she lives somewhat close to you, which is also rather refreshing. Most of the game is Soloable, but sometimes you just HAVE to get a party together to accomplish something. This can be a bit frustrating for those of us who like to Solo, as finding a good party can be rather hit and miss.
All in all, I give the game a B+. Lots of variety and people playing, but the monthly fee is a little steep, and some non soloable content can be frustrating.
I played that one for four years. I'm playing the sequel right now "Find A Job With Career Potential With Your Degree". They say that all of your info gets saved and transferred over from the old game, like Rock Band or KOTOR but for the most part most of the players ignore your previous progress unless you went on a really specific path in the first game. I'm still pretty early on in the game and it's pretty tough. As of right now I wouldn't grade it too high, but I'll wait till I get a few more bosses in before I make any judgements.
Zelda: Skyward Sword, mostly. I'm loving this game. Given, I'm a HUGE fan of the Zelda series, so I'm admittedly biased, but all the same, it's great.
Also just bought GTA IV over Steam last night for $5. Running slowly, so I'll have to turn down a lot of settings. Once I get my graphics card though it should run better.
I picked up Limbo for $2.50 on Steam. I never did get around to playing it, so if I can manage to not play Skyrim for a bit and can hold off on AC:R (which is sitting on my shelf, taunting me) I'll be giving that a go.
Still playing Skyrim and enjoying some Mario3D too. Also picked up Titan Quest Gold from the steam sale for my gf so we can play together. She's addicted to the game lol.
Tried playing MW3 with a friend tonight but the party system was screwing up. Kept saying we were in parties when we weren't and wouldn't let us join each others games. Odd. My friend gave me a Shattered Horizons guest pass so we tested that out. Could be fun if there were people playing. Finished the night with Skyrim. Gonna blaze through Trine some time this week.
Been playing Saints Row the Third since last weekend. Am now at the point where I'm driving round trying to find distractions I don't know about and occasionally having a crack at the last half a dozen activities that are thwarting my attempts to get 100%.
