What Are You Playing? September 22nd, 2012

Posted on Saturday, September 22 @ 10:53:04 Eastern by

My weekend will be spent grinding away in Torchlight II for GameRevolution's review. Did you know you could click stuff and that the stuff you click will explode in a blast of blood and gold? That's basically Torchlight II, all the way through to the end. Of course it's not, I just haven't gotten there yet and I'm assuming.

I've also got a copy of Dead Or Alive 5 here. I tore it open earlier this week when I got it and have been slowly making my way through the game's story mode. Three different counters, a sizeable roster, high-fidelity character models, and more abound in Team Ninja's return to its fighting roots. Also breasts.

What are you playing?

Related Games:   Dead or Alive 5, Torchlight II

Beat Uncharted 2, Uncharted 3, and finally beat the last part of God of War 3.
Uncharted 2 & 3 were fun but not awesomely so.
God of War 3 took forever to end after beating Zues. OMG like 15 mins of nonsense. The game was so awesome then the ending just sucked sucked sucked.

Im off to watch my Alma mater football team.

Its kind of a JRPG with visual novel elements. All the characters are girls, but they are based loosely on game companies and the cities are based on the current 3 consoles, for example there is a character based on NIS, and she is decked out in Prinny gear.

I hear the first Hyperdemension is awful compared to its sequel mk2, which is what i am playing, since they improved so much.

Honestly i think this trailer for mk2 explains the game better than i could.

The Witcher: Enhanced edition. I'm a bit spoiled from having played 2 first, but once I got used to the wonky controls and less than amazing voice work, I'm starting to get into it.

I've heard it's not absolutely necessary to play the first to enjoy the second. Is that true? I ended up not buying Witcher 2 the other day because I didn't know the first game at all.

You can easily enjoy witcher 2 without playing the first. They cover up the story enough in the second id say. And the gameplay is vastly improved (even though the game is damn hard.)

still ridiculously addicted to FTL, but I did just order Spec Ops, so I'll see how that goes... and that should carry me until ACIII drops, but if not, I can always pick up The Walking Dead or Bastion for quick fixes. Genre hopping FTW!

@danielrbischoff: I don't own a PS3, i have P4A on Xbox 360, also I haven't ventured onto the online playing waters because I will most likely get mauled, GGX-style fighters are a bit too complicated for me to master, I'm just enjoying the awesome story mode, it's always great to see and hear those wonderful Persona 3 characters, Aigis and all the others.

Just finished ME3. 'Tis a very good game that falls just short of greatness with some small issues, which seem that much more glaring considering how close this game is to being so great (the ending notwithstanding; that was bullcrap.) I cannot speak to the multiplayer as I borrowed the game from a friend and do not have an online pass.
