What To Expect From Tomorrow's Wii U Event [Update w/ Live Stream Info]

Posted on Wednesday, September 12 @ 09:00:33 Eastern by

Tomorrow, starting at 10AM EST, GameRevolution will be live in New York City for Nintendo's Wii U launch unveiling. Here's what you can expect.
  • Release date: Tomorrow you will find out when the Wii U will launch in North America.
  • Price: Find out how many coins you should save for launch.
  • Game Line-up: Will this will likely continue to change leading up to launch, we should have a good idea of what games will be releasing with the Wii U at launch, and within the launch window.
  • Bundles: There's likely going to be a bundle or two. Or possibly three if recent rumors were accurate.
  • Accessories: Namely, the Wii U Gamepad. Everyone wants to know how much these will cost, and when they can buy a second one. Or if they can even afford it.
  • Network: Can Nintendo really support the Wii U with a network on-par with the PlayStation Network and/or Xbox Live?
  • Achievements: How will Nintendo appeal to the most active among gamers?
Is Reggie's body ready? Who knows! But mine sure is. I'll be collaborating with the at-home GR staff all day tomorrow for news, and more. Then expect final hands-on impressions of the Wii U hardware and more early next week.

Although, a lot of these details may be revealed before the event itself through a special Nintendo Direct Wii U Presentation, that begins at Midnight tonight, Pacific time. You can view that event, here.

[Update] GR reader Shadetail has provided us with handy links to each region's live streams.
