Who Should Play Half-Life: The Movie (If There Were One)?

Posted on Tuesday, September 13 @ 11:50:37 Eastern by

Apparently, Hugh Laurie needs to play the starring (mostly silent?) role of Gordon Freeman, though it's hard for me to imagine Hugh doing anything else but showing how that confounded disease isn't lupus, goddamnit. Christopher Walken is also a necessity, it seems, and well, Morgan Freeman needs to be everything (and also Samuel L. Jackson... who should be in this movie just because).

Which image is right? Are they both wrong?

I've always pictured Jeff Goldblum as being an awesome Gordon Freeman for some reason. You guys' selections are pretty spot-on as well though. Christopher Walken as G-Man = magnificent.

You forgot to say both think Jean Reno needs to play Father Grigori, and both think Jeremy Piven needs to play Barney Calhoun.

Rosario Dawson and Julianna Margulies are hotter so go with them other than that the second list is better so go with that one.

I suggest picking actors who can accurately bring each characters persona to life, instead of just picking someone that looks similar.

However, in some cases you get the best of both worlds. Such as Nathan Fillion Playing Nathan Drake. Now, I hate to beat a dead horse, but this one's asking for it. Nathan not only portrays Nathan pictorially, but he is also witty and charming just like Drake. It's a no-brainer.

Who is this John Reno? Sounds like some American cowboy equivalent to Jean.

Bryan Cranston in Breaking Bad makes me think of Gordon Freeman everytime I see him in it.

I agree completely. Also, Breaking Bad is the best thing on TV.

G-Man should be someone that is unknown. Yeah, Christopher Walken looks like a good fit, but an unknown actor would fit the part better.

Malcom McDowell would be a perfect Breen. I totally agree with that.

Phil lamarr should play lamarr, so that the credits can say: "Lamarr - himself"

But it's hollywood...they got Denise Richards to play a scientist....Say that to yourself a few times, really let it sink in. Now also remember hollywood also let Tara Reid be a scientist. Mull that one over also but try to fight the urge to murder.
