Why Isn't Conan On Xbox Live?

Posted on Monday, February 7 @ 11:58:26 Eastern by

Look, I'll be straight with all of you. You're just plain dumb if you don't like Conan O'Brien. How can anyone not love the TV personality that introduced the masturbating bear and hornymanatee.com?

It's no wonder Microsoft tried to bring Conan onto their Xbox Live service. Gamers are Conan's perfect demographic and a nightly talk show with Coco would have justified the price hike for Xbox Live last year.

But Conan isn't on Xbox Live. He's on TBS. And I don't have cable! Whhhyy?!?! Why did it have to end up like this?!?!

The Xbox thing - a lot of the converstions were 'well, it's a show, but it's not a show and there are no breaks, but maybe there are breaks and it's not 60 minutes, it's this' and nobody really knew what it was.

So it was really going to be a leap of faith to jump in with these guys and figure something out which we didn't know. Plus there were 100 people who were out of jobs and that didn't bode well for that.

It was interesting to sit and look at it and say, 'it would be great to be involved in this,' but at the end of the day, we had some eventual television offers and we basically shied away from the other.

So it... just didn't work out? I guess we'll just have to wait it out for cable through our 360s, right? How far out can that be?
