DAILY MANIFESTO

Why Would Anyone Unsubscribe When You're Sending So Much Funny?

Posted on Monday, February 3 @ 10:47:54 Eastern by

Video game press relations companies have massive e-mail distribution lists, with thousands upon thousands of video game developers, journalists, publishers, executives and more. What happens when one person tries to unsubscribe from that list and everything goes horribly, horribly wrong?

Every video game critic with a pulse goes into overdrive trying to one-up the person that hit reply all just before them. Soon, there's no stopping the chain of events that wind up leaving people sad, confused, and hopelessly disconnected from what normally aids productivity: e-mail.

Think you have what it takes to work in the video game industry? Here's what we've all been subjected to today, on a Monday... which is already shit for productivity as you probably know. See if you get any work done with this blowing up your inbox:

So your saying if I click reply all everyone gets this email. In that case hi everyone. Hope you are having a great day.

I thought about not hitting Reply all, but then I took an arrow in the knee.

Fuck it, I might as well say hello too.

no one on this e-mail thread gets out alive

"Xbox... Unsubscribe" Crap, I'm out of ideas.

When talking to this many people, I feel like I should have gotten dressed.

DON'T WORRY I'LL HANDLE THIS

I suppose you're all wondering why I've called this meeting. Well, I'm wondering too. All I know is that I hope it never ever ends.

blocking every single email address in this message. this is beyond ridiculous and highly unprofessional.

I just want to say that I love you all in a deeply impersonal and entirely platonic way, and because of that, I feel so much more connected to each and every one of you this morning. So, dammit, keep me Subscribed!
