After all these years, and growing up with Windows 3.1, I have seen an entire evolution of computers and software. Touch screens and large resolutions were a pipe dream just 15 years ago. Now it's the norm. Going from a Packard Bell (yes, before HP) that couldn't run 3D Ultra Mini...

World of Whorecraft

Posted on Monday, April 9 @ 20:55:16 PST by Duke_Ferris
The world's oldest profession has started accepting the world's newest currency as a NYC woman has sold her sexual services on craigslist for 5000 gold.

I was fully prepared to talk about the new Xbox 360 keypad today (Note to Microsoft: Where's my 360 web browser?) but this link (EDIT: Looks like that page has been hacked, this new link should work, although it lacks the music of the original) had me laughing so hard, I just had to share. And oddly enough I think I'm (mostly) on her side.

I've always felt that prostitution should be decriminalized, so it could be regulated like any other business to help fight disease, get rid of abusive pimps, and reduce the number of underage girls. That woman is an adult, and she should be able to do what she likes with her body.

If you add up the hours needed to acquire 5000 gold, and multiply by an hourly wage, she even probably just got a premium price. About $500 according to a couple gold-selling sites I just looked at. Since no *real* money changed hands, I wonder if this is even a crime.

So why does this still seem so pathetic and funny? I really hope he made her wear the costume.
