LATEST FEATURESBeing A Console Is Actually Xbox One's Worst Asset
Microsoft's newest console has lots of different features, but video games might hold the device back from the software giant's true intentions.
Before Microsoft and Sony do something regarding their future in the video game business, I wanted to write, and I've wanted it for a long time now, but other things kept getting in my way, and fearing that tomorrow might be too late, today will have to do.

Would You See a Deus Ex: Human Revolution Movie?
Posted on Tuesday, January 24 @ 10:08:10 Eastern by Daniel Bischoff
If you'd like seeing video game movies... what the hell is wrong with you? Those movies suck! Still, curiosity kills cats, squirrels, and it takes money out of your wallet and then berates your eyes with a bunch of shit.
Maybe amateur productions are the way to go. People can be more dedicated to the source material when they're not having their hands bound and tied by the studio system. Certainly the fan film above has some cool effects and and a certain dedication to the original game, but I'm still not sure.
Would you pay to see a feature length Deus Ex: Human Revolution movie from the people who made this one?
I always cringe at blatant fan service in game-to-movie films. I just think the format wouldn't serve the long involved stories found in the Deus Ex games, so fans are bound to be disappointed. So I'd say... animated mini-series about Walton Simons, with the original (unintentionally funny) voice-actor.
I thought I had, and which was reinforced by this short, was that it is difficult to turn the first person experience of a video game into a third person experience in a movie.
^ Resident Evil, Super Mario Bro "Film", Doom, oh and don't replace a bad ass English archaeologist with Angela Julie... while she is hot and defiantly in her prime in the film the film it self was hard to swallow. Butler car chases unneeded dialog while no actual concept of the plot of the game (yes it did have one)or even the core value the mountain climbing and the ancient artifacts... not just artifact it just had guns... and tits... face it. I am all for guns and tits it was NOT a movie representation of tomb raider. Silent hill though did and have what was a feeling, or remembrance of the game. To top it all off, the director actually did.... a lot. So a actual gamer made the movie of the game he wanted to show, with that said i loved that movie, To the point where i was actually so into it i forgot i was in a movie theater and started moving my hands as if i had a controller and playing till i snapped out of it and again became engrossed in the movie. Its a brain fu**
Movie producers always assume that the only thing people who play video games want out of movies are explosions and tits. No, sorry Hollywood, I think that **** is stupid, that's why I play video games instead. When I see a movie based on a video game, it's not because I thought the violence in that particular game was better than the violence in any other game, it's because I think the story and characters would translate well to film. The reason there is so much violence in games is because it's A GAME. That's what you DO. Otherwise, it would just be a movie, which is what Hollywood should be trying to ****ing make.
