Write A Short Story And Win A Copy Of Torchlight 2

Our good buddy Silios is back. You might remember him from his Budget Game Reviews. This time, he's looking to hand out a copy of Torchlight 2 on Steam. Take it away Silios:

I had original intended on giving a copy away to Icepick, but he's on a Mac and there's no release date for Mac yet. That being said, he gave me a great idea. So here's to you Icepick.

RULES:

1. Your story has to be over 100 words and less than 300.
2. Plagiarizers will not be tolerated.
3. I will pick my favorite story on August 30th (my birthday) and PM the writer for their Steam username).

SOME NOTES:

The more clever your story is, the more likely I'll pick it. I'm writer myself, but I'm not a grammar nazi. So long as the story is readable I'll give it the same merit as any other story.

There will be two winners in this topic. Good luck, and remember. The story never changes, only the story teller.

Its sad but if Torchlight 2 doesn't come out in the next 5 weeks before GW2 its going to be shelved for a long time for me.

Ive never played the first game so how would you describe it? Havent really written anything since my college days but I could try and shake loose the cobwebs from my brain.

I really liked the first one. Id describe it as the best diablo game thats not diablo,game ive ever played. I ended up playing it for a week when I was moving once and waiting for internet. And it was also cheap at the time.

There once was a reviewer named Jonathan_Leack. He wrote a honest review about a game called The Secret World. But what he didn't know was that world was actually a secret world full of rabid delusional fanboys and trolls. The GR locals quickly responded to there nonsense by thanking them for the 13 brand new accounts. We all then got on with our lives and decided we wanted to play Torchlight 2.
