Xbox 360 Fall 2010 Dashboard Update Out Now

Posted on Monday, November 1 @ 07:38:51 Eastern by
The Xbox 360 Dashboard has received quite a makeover.

In preparation for Thursday's Kinect launch, Microsoft has started rolling out the official Xbox 360 Fall 2010 Dashboard update.

Along with new features specific to Kinect (like voice commands), there is also a plethora of exciting new features and improvements. Here's the official changelist below:
  • ESPN on Xbox LIVE
  • Zune music
  • Netflix search
  • Improved voice chat quality
  • Improved Gamertag creation
  • Streamlined in-dashboard virtual keyboard
  • Improved Xbox LIVE Marketplace UI and browse experience
  • Easier to get on a wireless network
  • Ability to sign-out other controllers in the sign-in UI
  • New browse experience for 100% completed games
  • Updated Family Setting
  • Family Programming
Overall, this is a great update for the Xbox 360 that will greatly streamline the experience. Sadly, the best three features added are only available to Xbox LIVE Gold subscribers.

Have you had a chance to check it out. What are your thoughts? Will you be getting Kinect on Thursday?

Couldn't download it after a few reboots.
Got it now, it's a bit faster than the old one. I kinda like it though.

Yeah I definately glad they released it, it was fun not party chatting with my friends. Anyhow Daniel, did your friends go into the beta as well? Or were you lonely like I was.
