DAILY MANIFESTO

Your Hands Will Be Full This Holiday Season

Posted on Tuesday, September 27 @ 18:40:03 Eastern by
In the image collage below, I've already played Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Dead Island, and my roommate is Hording in Gears of War 3 as I write this. But I just checked my GameStop pre-order list, and for this holiday season, I've got Saints Row The Third, Batman: Arkham City, and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Now that I look at the release lists, I haven't even thought about Dance Central 2, Forza Motorsport 4, and Rocksmith.

And then of course, there will be Battlefield 3, Modern Warfare 3, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary, WWE '12, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Uncharted 3, Rage, Dark Souls, Mario Kart 7, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, and all those other games you'll flame me for not mentioning. (I don't even want to think about the first three months of 2012...)

So what's going to your pleasure this holiday season?

Now's a good time for Richard Nixon's Head to issue a $300 tax rebate.

Cancel that second, right this second. Don’t do this a second time, there will be no second warning. Well on second thought, go head and second it anyway.

Let me answer your question with another question... do the staff of GR do ANYTHING other than play video games? I mean like... excercise? Go outside (other than to get more video games)? Have girlfriends? Practice regular hygiene? Looking at the lists of games you dudes are always throwing up, its hard to imagine time for life away from the TV...

This IS a website about video games is it not? Lists of games seems to be a natural fit.

Wait... you're berating them for doing their jobs by putting content about video games on a video game site?

I don't know about going outside but I'm pretty sure they at least open the door once in a while when a box full of games arrive

I'm married with a child. And I do ample amounts of yard/lawn work on a regular basis. I i'm live a very active outdoor life. Just the other day I went apple picking. I'm in Las Vegas right now, although I was here to play games.

I'm staring down the barrel of a gun loaded up with Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Resistance 3, W40K: Space Marine, Gears of War 3, ICO & Shadow of the Colossus, Dark Souls, RAGE, Batman: Arkham City, Battlefield 3, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Modern Warfare 3 and all the other **** I'll be reviewing for GR.

Yeah, like De-Ting said, Skyrim alone could take up all your time. I'll take that off your hands so you can review the others.
