Grid 2 surprised me. I was going through the motions, getting used to the cars and their handling, when suddenly something happened. I started having fun.

State of Decay Review
Undead Lab's zombie-infested action title has finally hit XBLA. Is it worth a few of your precious Microsoft Points, or should you whack it over the head with a two-by-four and continue on your merry way?

E3: PC or rather about the lack of it

E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

What do these ratings mean?

Hello, Cecil.  It's been what, your, I don't know, FOURTH reincarnation.  Played most of them, since Final Fantasy IV and VI were the only two games from your franchise that doens't see me on the other end of a Masamune... (let's face it, Cloud and Vincent are too busy cutting themselves and listening to 30 Seconds to Mars to give a crap that Sephiroth is too busy killing Aerith, and SHE'S NOT COMING BACK!!!)

Who's ever played the origional for the Super Nintendo? (I have, it's the reason that I'm addicted to caffeene.)  Who played your Playstation version that blew since we've all moved on to VII and VIII?  And who (yes, me again) played your GBA version that had this pretty hard dungeon that was a pain in the fanny to beat because I couldn't time Kain's effing jump right?

But now we got this all over again.  Another version of the game, done back a-la FFIII (which is pretty good, although my final lineup was Dragoon/Ninja/Summoner/Devout, as was 99% of us all!)  The game that defined RPGs as the games that you played for 30+ hours.  The games with weird-ass bosses.  The games with the "plot twist" element.

So, yeah.  I've played you before... you haven't changed much.  The Decant system is eh-eh, and for once, "spoony bard" Edward is no longer "the guy who gets his ass kicked by Jigglypuff".  Graphics, you've gone from pixelated midgets to almost anorexic polygons... the game's the same... blah blah blah.  Whyt?  Stupid, stupid, stupid!!!  New Game Plus?  OK, because there are 2 new bosses (one'll give you headaches!)

Still, is it me, but I can't truly hate this game.  Yeah, it's the same as the GBA version, just a little prettier, but hey, it's to be honest, still a classic game.  It's fun, it's got in my opinion the fourth best soundtrack of all time (Top 3: Galaxy, Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid.  Fifth is the Wind Waker), and Cecil is, suprisingly, not emo.  Maybe for the first hour, but then he becomes normal for a hero.  And still, I can answer and ask a question.  First, shut up fanboys, Adult Rydia is hotter that Rosa, Cecil got shafted.  Deal with it.  And of course, why the hell would you want to leave Final Fantasy?
