What do these ratings mean?

Mario Kart DS is a really good game in the series. I like the single player mode because it has so many courses and characters that you never get bore. I also like the multiplayer and online mode since you can play anybody around the world and earn points from each victory you get and since Nintendo keeps your record, you'll know if you're the best in the world.
