Lego Star Wars II is a fairly solid game, but it does have it's flaws. But hey, it's got flaws, but it's still fun!
Sound
Star Wars music. We all love it. And unlike the Star Wars: Battlefront series, you can actually here the music over the sound effects! Yes! Another goodside to the sound is that it has excellent quality. Unlike the Lego's, this sound ain't blocky (I apologize for the horrible attempt at humor).
Sound Effects
Pretty much the same thing. The sound effects are made clear, but aren't so loud as to the degree that you can still hear the music. The blasters sound real, and the R2 voice seemed alot like the one from the origanal movies. Very good job on the sound effects. But it was Star Wars, what else do you expect the sound effects to be like?
Graphics
These graphics are quite blocky, wouldn't you say? Oh yes, I apologize once more for the attempt at humor. The graphics are well... legos. Nothing else really to say about it, except for the fact that the game does bug out once in a while. Lousy cheap production values! But, the graphics really aren't all that bad. Despite the bugging out. It is a kid's game after all.
Gameplay
It is fun. But it also gets boring... FAST. Despite how fun it is, sitting around watching animated lego's move more lego's around at an incredibly slow pace does get boring. And also, Lucas Arts ruined one of Star Wars' most important rule. The blasters are more usefull than the lightsabers. BAD LUCAS ARTS!
But now, the question that most of you are asking. What of the much needed addition of the last Lego Star Wars game that got put in this Lego Star Wars game? Simple. the co-op is done excellently. While most games change the levels for co-op play, these games remain exactly the same and act in an arcade-ish style. People can drop out of the game whenever they want if they have to go somewhere, or do something, causing a little 'Press Start' beacon to start flashing at the top of the screen.
Overall
Excellent game that is fun to play, but can get boring. The co-op is done with something that resembles perfection. The graphics do bug out and this game was obviously made for kids seeing as you can beat the whole thing in about seven hours.
