What do these ratings mean?

I have an abusive relationship with this game.  Even though it treats me bad, and smacks me around, I come crawling back for more.

Because at it's core, this is a fun game.  You ride your extreme gear (aka Marty Mc Fly worthy hoverboard) through races while doing tricks and being like all extreme and stuff. (lol)  And it is a ton of fun to blast through the tracks at high speed, pulling off tricks and riding your opponents turbulence.  Now if only there was a friggin' easy mode!

You see 9/10 times, the A.I controlled characters are a half a lap ahead of me and I rarely have a chance to win.  The computer goes for the throat every friggin' time with no mercy.  Personally, I know that I'll never (ever) beat the story mode the first time, so I know I'll never unlock the other characters, tracks, extreme gear (Rocket shoes (like in "Sonic Chaos") and Hover bikes) there's also a mission mode, where you have to accomplish certain goals to unlock more stuff, but again I'll never see it.

The graphics are great, the music is great, the controls are simple.  And it is a fun racing game.  Now If only it wasn't so hard.  But like I said, even though I rarely win, I have so much fun blistering through the tracks, that I still play it.  Sad.. I know.
