The Good: Interesting story, lots of different powers to use, tons of characters and enemies, has replay value
The Bad: Over powered abilities makes the game easy, graphics are a bit underwhelming, not very challenging even on the hardest difficulty, short
While digging through lists of good GBA games to play I found this game. Don't let the cover fool you; this isn't just for kids. The story is really great and interesting. Astro Boy gets stuck in the middle of a war between humans and robots and has to stop them. With great plot twists and a trick ending the game makes you want to keep playing. There are alright but they could have been better. They're not really fancy or anything just nice to look at. Astro has a lot of cool powers such as his finger laser, power laser, gun shot, and a punch of kicks and punches to change the game play around.
The game is very easy though even on the hardest difficulty mainly due to Astro's powers. You have a certain amount of super powers you can use but they wipe enemies out with ease and you have a lot of power points so bosses are even easy. What also makes the game even easier is there are checkpoints all over the place so you never have to get too frustrated about dying. The game is very short with about 8 hours of game play and a chance to replay the game with all your powered up abilities and new stages. This in turn makes the replay value very high. I recommend this game to all ages and you're bound to enjoy it.
