Let me start by Saying, This will Run on Older PC's. The Minimum Specs are flawwed, and it will run on my Laptop. (2.2ghz, 2gb Ram, 64mb Nvidia)
BUT to make it look half decent, you might consider running it on a Better spec'ed PC.
If you Wan't a game that will make the PS3 look like a Childs play thing, Crysis is for you. Although you need a good PC to make Crysis look good, the fact of the matter is, IT doesn't matter what specs you are running it on. It will STILL be fun.
I Belive this game is the main reason why Vista seems so much better, having DX10..
But Crysis will look just fine on XP with DX9.
One of the major problems you might face with Crysis is the Crappy Storyline, which Assures you, there will be a Crysis 2, and maybe even a Crysis 3.

Once you've finished it once, theres no point playing it again unless you want more of a challenge, Or you want to play Online with other people.
Online:
Flawwed. To Many Retards with Downloaded copies of the game asking for Cracked Servers, and NO moderators.
Sound:
Excellent. As long as you play it on High or Very High..anything lower and your missing out.
Conclusion:
Crysis is a Good game, Worth the Buy. If you are un-sure, Download the Demo.
And with the Patch coming out soon, Hopefully all the Pirating Retards will be gone.
Overall, Crysis is..well..Crysis.
