What do these ratings mean?

Well this is one of the most scary games out, but it is also one of the only games with extremely good graphics. This game might b apealing to most of you but it has alot of requirements for maximum pleasure. The game is very original moving the story aside since the story is just stupid. The game play is good it's fun running around shooting stuff but you'll find that your gun dousn't shoot as fast as you would like in the begining. It's very irritating to find where your suppose to go since the lights are almost always off or they shut off mysteriously when u enter the room which is down right bull. Wat u battle in this is game is monsters from Demons to zombies to who knows what. It's really annoying if you leave or cant see an enemie cause when you go to the next room you have to fight wats there plus wat's behind you, but now that i'm past wat makes this game bad here's the game good
The surprisingly good graphics are a huge booast in making this a good game if this had any lesser graphics it wouldn get a B+. The maps are awesome there are few loading screens and always some new monster to fight. It's a great game to play with all the lights out unless you get scared easilly, but cant resist playing like myself then you might want to turn the sound off that helps alot even if it makes knowing wat to do alot harder. The weopons are great except for the first part with the pistol.

good review, i agree with just about everything you said. playing with the sound on makes it better coz scary games are the best, but i would never play at night tho

Best time to play is at night with all lights out and volume pumped up. Be sure to have no kids in the room. Game freaks them out, me too. I have to disagree with the review here, having most of the lights out throughout the game adds to its spookiness. Why would it be scary if you always saw whats coming? Doom is all about scary.
