Not a soul will ever read this. However, I can't help but to write something and put my two cents in! Duke Ferris, you were right. This 9 year old game was revolutionary. However, I don't think it changed the face of others that came after it. Hardly a game so addictive has yet to be seen. And maybe because they are so unprofitable! You don't make much money on a game that geeks like me can play nine years later! But, wouldn't you know, last night, at my girlfriends, with her slow beasty computer, I put the old disk in and WHAMMY! I was off tunneling in my old stomping grounds once again. I had been over a year, but it was like yesterday! I wonder why i ever stopped playing it in the first place! Maybe because it only sort of runs right in XP or because you have to go into DOS prompt to play the multiplayer by yourself like a total reject!

But, frankly, that's where the fun is. The multiplayer, in 1-player mode is what kept me going for so long. There 15 scenarios. Not so easy as you might think to get through. The lower level ones are certainly easier. But, as you climb the list from scenario to scenario, it becomes harder and harder and funner and funner. I've beaten them all. I've all but beaten the single player. Although I have started a new trek, as I remember it gets to a point of utter difficulty that I'm not quite sure I could tolerate.

Needless to say, the game is wonderful to this day! I could not appreciate more than I do right now, struggling to find good strategy games on the PC or 360. It's impossible! But, I can always fall back on Heroes of Might and Magic or Civ3 or better yet, go totally evil, with the greatest real-time PC strategy game ever, Dungeon Keeper (Not to be confused with Dungeon Keeper 2!)
