What do these ratings mean?

This game will take over your life, so get ready. As far as MMO's go, this game really pushes the boundaries of what can be achieved on a single virtual server. The EVE environment is a new world on its own, and a very addictive one at that. However, be ready to spend at least 2 weeks learning and reading about some of the finer points of EVE, because there is a lot to digest and grasp hold of (can get kinda messy in the end.)

However, for those of you who do enjoy a challenging game, once mastered, EVE offers limitless possibilities to occur. The game sticks you with a choice of race, personal attributes (fighter/builder/miner), and then sets you free in the EVE Universe in a tiny little spaceship. Skills are purchased and learned based on your characters attributes. For best results, players try and specialize in one area, like building ships, since skills are learned over time. Skill training occurs 24hrs a day, and some of the high end skills can take upwards of 3 weeks to train. So you want to make sure you have a skill training plan before you start working on a character.

Complete with an variety of in-game governments and factions, a player driven economy, and a variety of player owned corporations the EVE universe runs itself. If you ever wanted to be a space pirate, here is your chance. Want to produce monstrous battleships for people to buy? You can do that too. Want to be the leader of a major corporation and set up your own space stations? This is also possible within EVE. Of course it takes time to get to all these options, but all have there own benefits and drawbacks.

This game has one of the better Tech Support teams that I have seen in the MMO genre; service times are quick and server issues are resolved quickly. This game is growing every day so join in now and experience EVE as it begins to develop into a better game than it was yesterday.

gotta agree with ehawther on that. eve online is an absolutely terrific, if difficult, game. if you like pvp, eve is one brutal universe.
