What do these ratings mean?

I bet many of you have played the excellent Half-Life and were dying for the sequel. Well now it's here and it's excellent. The graphics for the game are great but you can play it at a good pace with just a Windows Xp laptop  which I play on. The sound is great also with superb voice acting and an excellent soundtrack. The gameplay is also excellent with a wide assortmant of weapons, excellent physics, THE GRAVITY GUN! But for all of the gameplay the list goes on and on.
