I totally disagree with GR’s review on this one. Quake III arena is not a game to play alone. This is a multi player game. The more the marrier! Problem is you either require a good Internet connection for a game almost no-one plays anymore online or a lot of computers at home (which I have). The graphics are good but the frame rate is what I’m amazed at even on an old P3 computer. So buying Pentium 3 computers shouldn’t be to hard you can pick em up for less that $100 now. Music is good but the game lacks a storyline. The game is pure adrenaline! Its fun to shoot the hell out of everyone. Quake 3 is the only game of its kind and I wish they would make the next generation arena based game. Not more First person shooters like Quake 4. So the breakdown: Quake 3 is a multi-player game only. If you play against the computer it’s either to ridiculously hard or easy and the AI does suck. There isn’t any! Bots just run around more erratically so they’re harder to shoot each time you up the skill.
