What do these ratings mean?

I got this game from steam for around 20 bucks and I must say, I've been having sleepless nights. Even on the plane, the bus, the taxi, the boat, this game plays fine on my notebook. The low specs make the gaming smooth, and even on my ancient "Lappy" I have to say, "Why can't they make games like this all the time?"

So yes, its like Diablo. But it was so long ago since I bathed in its awesomeness, and most gamers today may never have played it at all. So even if we'd make a "head to feet" comparison, it wouldn't matter. Alright, on to biznes:

You choose from 3 Characters. Simply put, a Warrior concentrating on tanking, close combat, bashing enemies upclose, a Shooter, using guns, setting traps, and projectiles, and lastly, a Wizard, Magic, summons, and buffs.

At first you may think its so limited cuz you only have three to choose from, but actually, each of them have unique skill trees which can open up your style of fighting. Ex a wizard: Either concentrate on pure magic and fight with mana, or be a battle mage and mix it up with combat, summon, and magic. You can also see yourself wear those armors you so greedily collected. To add to that, there are tons of mods to choose from in the different community sites, which can open up your game even more. Yes, this game is highly moddable, and sky's the limit.

So you get a top-down view of the battlefield. Don't expect mind blowing super gorgeous graphics in this game. Its not meant for that. Its simple presentation, yet varied content makes up for all that. Varied is an understatement. There's just so many stuff in the game, so much content, weapons, armor, items, missions, so much to do! And just under 20 bucks, it is sadistically cheap for what you deserve. I also like the pet system. Your pet can help you in combat. You can modify it and train it to be a killer. Your pet can also help you sell your loot if ever you don't desire to return to the village yet.

There are so many skills which can fit your fighting style. And it is very addictive. Even during meetings, I keep playing the game. Overall, this game is a bargain. Makes me wonder why they don't make so many games like this. It is fun, simple, and laptop friendly. EVERYONE would enjoy the looting, slashing, casting, and selling, which we've all seen before, but nothing as well presented as Torchlight.

It is your duty to get this game. I highly recommend it. Especially for the gamers who's always on the go.
