What do these ratings mean?

Now before you say that it's been 4 years since Earned in Blood came out, I know. At that time I hadn't heard about it(and I didn't like WW2 shooters) and so I didn't rent or buy the game. A few years later and I'm reading an article on Wikipedia, and there's a link leading to the Brothers in Arms page. I looked around for the first game and bought both of the first two. I'm wasn't entirely able  to tell the two apart as they were almost the same exact game. Although I will admit that the second seemed a bit easier(possibly because it feels like you don't take as much damage). The story in the beginning overlaps Baker's, only taking place through Joe Hartstocks eyes. This really isn't that different than the first one. Basically, you fight through areas flanking and suppressing Germans. You can't really run 'n gun, so you have to use the iron sights. The AI in the second intallment is much, much better. I found that, seeing as you could use cheats and have your squad be nearly unkillable you could have them do a banzai charge(no not with bayonets) and take out the enemies. As easy as this makes the game, it also can make it less fun. BIA is probably my favorite WW2 series, and I just loved this game, so that a good deal for Gearbox and Ubisoft.
