After all these years, and growing up with Windows 3.1, I have seen an entire evolution of computers and software. Touch screens and large resolutions were a pipe dream just 15 years ago. Now it's the norm. Going from a Packard Bell (yes, before HP) that couldn't run 3D Ultra Mini...

What do these ratings mean?

It's been almost five years since we last saw a true Final Fantasy game. The online-only Final Fantasy 11 and Final Fantasy X-2 both strayed off the Final Fantasy path that Final Fantasy VII so bravely forged, and thus left fans yearning for a return to the classic formula. Well the wait is finally over as Final Fantasy XII has arrived and re-established the series as  the dominance as king of console rpg's. The game is so well put together,it might become known as the best Final Fantasy game yet in the series. The gameplay has been changed, but that is not a bad thing! The old style turn-based fighting system was getting old,now you can actually have more freedom during battle. That's not the only thing that has been changed, the old style of random pop-up battles has been changed, and you can actually know when enemies are near. The all new "License point grid" is some what close to Final Fantasy X's grid, except you have the freedom of choosing your abilities, that is if you have enough license points and you have met the requirements. The game is very unique, and is worthy of a 10 out of 10, A+. Very fun game, and is a must play for the PS2.
