What do these ratings mean?

Although this game is just a roster update (or so I'm told) from the last one, the last Madden game I played was 96. The game has really come a long way since then. You mash buttons to bass and hold forward to run.

Alright so basically it's the same thing as the game I played back in the day on my Sega, but with new players and nicer graphics. Having madden speak in the game brings it's highest grade down to a B+ by default, and the fact that it's not that interesting, and really repetative brings it down just a bit more.

All in all the game responds nicely, with just little hiccups here and there, but nothing too glaringly obvious. So the graphics really help to bring the grade up on this one.
