Wow this game really is a nice relief from Mytholigies and Special Forces. This game is based on Mortal Kombat 2 and it even has that game as an unlockable. Read on.

Gameplay: You get to choose from Lui Kang and Kung Lao and then later on Scorpion and Sub-zero. The boss fights are fun such as Goro but he is very easy to beat. But Shao Kahn can prove a good challenge. And then there's Kintaro who also easy but not as easy as Goro. You can fight the guys too Kitana, Mileena and Jade. Aside from the bosses their's a ko-op mode which is the same as the main mode except you are going through the game with 2 players. And you can also uncover secrets that can only be done in ko-op mode.

Graphics: Wow Kitana looks hotter than usual in this game for some reason. The graphics are pretty good although I think Mortal Kombat Deception had better graphics. The cutscene graphics are better than the gameplay graphics. But overall they are great.

Sound: Sound and everything is okay but the music is boring. Mortal Kombat has never had good music (With a couple exceptions) and this is no exception. I'd just stick to Tekken 5's music.

Value: As a mentioned earlier MK 2 is unlockable by completing all Smoke missions. You can also unlock more characters for Versus mode only such as Kitana, Baraka and Johnny Cage. And their's other secrets in the game to unlock like fatalities and some stuff for the "Kontent" mode under options. Once you've done everything in the game it probably wouldn't be as much fun anymore.

Overall: Don't let the fact that this is MK adventure game fool you. This is nothing like the other two and much better. If you're a Mortal Kombat fan or just a beat-em up fan in general you should rent or even buy this game If you're a big MK fan you might want to buy it without renting it first.
