Disney Infinity 3.0 Review
Disney Infinity 3.0 offers the first real taste of new Star Wars gaming content since the franchise was purchased by the Disney Corporation. This begs the question: Is it Han Sololicious? Or Jar Jar Bombad?

PREVIEWS Hob Preview
If I had to describe Hob in a simple title it would be "Darksiders Jr." The title from Runic developers, whose prior games are the Torchlight series, were nervous about delivering a game that is so far from their comfort zone.

After all these years, and growing up with Windows 3.1, I have seen an entire evolution of computers and software. Touch screens and large resolutions were a pipe dream just 15 years ago. Now it's the norm. Going from a Packard Bell (yes, before HP) that couldn't run 3D Ultra Mini...

What do these ratings mean?

ANY FAN OF UFC SHOULD GET THIS GAME!

The UFC games are all awful. This is the same exact style of fighting only in a ring, but the ring is only there for show. Its not a wrestling game.

The modes of gameplay are Tourney or Single Match. Thats it. No Career mode.

Create a fighter is limited and not nearly as precise as the newer games that have character creation options, but it is still pretty easy to make you and your friends, or your favorite fighters that are not in the game. The main part is the MOVES. You can set up some great punch kick combos in this. It takes some time but it pays off in the fights.

Button mashing game!!!
Good thing and bad thing. Anyone can can play this without ever playing it before and win 30 matches in a row. The moves are crazy fast and unpredictable... Even when you are fully aware of how to play, block, counter, reverse, and strike... you can lose a match in 20 seconds... but you could also go 6 rounds and have it come to a decision.

One of the best parts is Pre-fight options... Rounds and time... You can make it as short of long as you like.... 1 infinite round.... 3 five minute rounds.... 5 three minute rounds.... 1 fifteen minute round, a 10 minute round, a 5 minute, 2 three minute rounds and an extra round with no time limit... Whatever mix you want. I play 2 three minute rounds and a 5 minute round mostly.
Then the best feature for 2 player combat is the ability to turn off the "energy bar" this keeps your cheap friends from punching over and over again when they see you have a little energy left to be knocked out. You learn to block and reverse by having no clue who is ahead in each round of the match. You can also turn the timer on permenently or just to flash at intervals, useful in grappling and sparring. Then there is a handicap that goes up to 150% that is great for making the matches last a little longer than 30 seconds.

This game is pretty old at this point but it is yet to be put to shame. This is the !BEST! MMA(mixed martial arts) game for PS2, hands down. I'm sure most places will have it for $10 or so.

UFC fans need this game. (Ken Shamrock and Royce Gracie are in it)

Matches have a wide range of action: Brawl with sick punches that can be combo'ed and stun or even knock you opponent to the ground. Vicious kicks to the legs, body and head that do serious damage. Blocking strikes with counters that return strikes of thier own or take them to the ground. Once on the ground you can pound on the bottom guy til he is KO'ed or he can block and try to catch you in a submission. Or just go straight for the submission yourself. 6 or more ways to be positioned on the ground, each has its own set of submission options. Some even have counters that turn into submissions. All this action will have you heart racing as you try to get your fighter out of the vulnerable positions and out of submissions while not letting his face get smashed too much.

3 ways to win: KO, Submission, and Judges Decision. Judges can go unanimous, 2-1, or even judge a draw. Rematch anyone?

If you like this style of fighting and want a game that is easy to play but hard to get bored with, buy Pride FC!

Good Luck,

HDH
