What do these ratings mean?

This game was the newest game at it's time and still is in the gaming industry. I have never been so shocked in my life when i played this thing.  I mean the storyline was blaand but th ****ing! bosses were the craziest mo fos i've seeen. Though some were easy and some were hard. I love the gameplay.. You have to climb that mo fo just to hurt him or the guy with the things on his bottom feet.. I have to admit this games graphics actually match up with that of new gen consoles sort've so far.But holy hell everything was great about this game. The only thing that kills it is that the storyline was like ahh bland.
