"THE KING OF IRON FIST TOURNAMENT... 4!"
Thats's the first thing I hear when playing this game. Tekken 4 was indeed an interesting piece of equipment.
Although, I do have some thoughts on how to improve. Okay, first thing's first, three quarters of the character roster SUCKS. Can't get past Stage 4, no matter how hard I try. I beat the game with just enough characters to unlock everyone. Which brings me to another complaint. This indeed was one of the shortest Tekken games to date. Tekken Tag Tournament had more characters to unlock. What made them want to shorten this one?
With what they got rid of character-wise, they replaced it with story mode. You basically have Mr. Moviephone reading you a picture book about each character. (Just think of it now, Steve Fox, by Dr. Seuss) But in story mode, the only during game cutscene you'll get is when Heihachi walks out in his daiper, pulled up to his chest, saying, "Let's see what you got!" Does this mean I have to change the daiper, or what? And only the characters that are super important to the story get cutscenes during battle.
They also have the new and improved Tekken Force. My only complaint is the controls. You press Left and Right to walk around, which is stupid, because you're clearly walking forward. Other than that, it would be a good mode if it wasn't so hard.
My conclusion: This game has it's weak points and strong points. It's worth trying.
