Tony Hawk games have been around forever, from the days of the n64 to the PS2. So far you would pick a pro skater and have to do a set number of goals then move to a new level and do it again. But this time around neversoft has changed the formula. In Tony Hawk's Underground you create a skater and take him from a no name street punk to a pro skater through a series of goals in places like new jersy and moscow.
Another new feature is that you can get of your board and walk, yes i said walk, around the level, taking in the sights and sound of tony hawks world in a whole new way. The graphics a very good, having been giving a slight facelift since thps 4 but the walking phisics are a little wonky.
The levels in t.h.u.g are still massive with hundreds of rails and quarter pipes that will keep you reverting to manual to grind for hours. As opposed yto other tony hawks games, you don't find stat tokens around the level, instaed you complete certain requirements like grind for 5 seconds or ollie up 10 feet to increase your stats.
So finally, after years if practicaly the same old stuff, we have a new tony hawk formula whick looks as if it is to be a hit and only the beginning of things to come
