The recent blog, Peace in the Era of Call of Duty  really made me think about war games that dig deeper than simply a kill streak reward. The first game that came to mind was Spec-Ops: The Line and although I haven’t played it, I began to wonder if it did the war genre as...

What do these ratings mean?

It never dawned on me how cynical the GR reviewers can be until after I rented this game. With a little more press and media coverage Army of Two could have easily been a landmark game [in the pre-GTA 4 era].  The over the shoulder aiming system works as great, if not as well as another Landmark game... sayyy.. Gears of War.  But the Real kicker to this beauty are the graphics and effects associated with the Gameplay in Army of Two.  The slow motion overkill mode, back to back fire, the necessary teamwork associated with the aggro system, sheild work and parachuting, and Guns, gun mods, and more guns - make this game recipe near immaculate.  The storyline is semi political, and a little over the top, but hey - its a video game, get lost in it.  And the allegations of homo-cyber-erotica, make me scratch my head - because i didnt get that impression - and wouldn't have thought about it if GR didnt bring it to my attention - Shame on you, GR. [I could've done without the parachuting segments tho] Now my gameplay may have been enhanced quite a bit, by playing split screen with my roomate and having him sitting next to me shouting at me over the surround sound gunfire, but regardless to whether your playing alone or with a buddy[ i suggest the latter] - This game promises not to disappoint you.
