What do these ratings mean?

So me and my roommate got this game twice, once for 360 and once for ps3. both are essentially the same save for a bit strong textures on ps3.
I'll start this review with the single player. it has a Co-op but the games set up feels awkward and undesirable. The story line itself throws you into fighting both Japan and Germany on two different fronts. To me, fighting with the Russians was far more fun then helping the Americans (GO US!). Because of this, however, it made the story much harder to follow because I didn't care about what was happening to Japan. Now, I am completely aware that I should pay as much attention to the story as I can. But it is far harder then one would believe.  The missions sometimes feel like chores and no one likes doing chores. the A.I. in the missions difficulty seems to swing from easy to hard on some spots. I would find myself able to run up and stab everyone at some spots while other times not even able to move out of cover. You know what i mean when i say that to. Don't think that I'm mixing up difficulty with how many enemies are in an area.
But that's enough said about the single player. What the game really excels in is Multiplayer Vs. I has the same set up as CoD4(?Good Thing) yet plays a little more chaotic. This makes gameplay hard and can strain on your nerves if your not patient. After a while, however, I began to pick it up and started fighting my way to the top of the boards. The weapons in this mode are very fun and have their own little unofficial strengths. but I contently kept running into a little problem. reloading weapons that have low amounts of ammo. I know that's hard to understand but let me explain it a bit more. most weapons,(that i use anyway, and their are a few), have less then 12 shots in them. because aiming is strained a bit more, it makes shooting more a necessity. so by the time you kill maybe one or two guys, you will spend a good 3-7 seconds reloading your gun. For those of you who know what im talking about, It makes moving around a lot slower and makes you much more cautious.  It's honestly nothing big, but for me, I kept getting killed while reloading. it was all about finding the right spot to stop and reload. but i shouldn't say too many negative things about this mode. its got some great fun if you liked CoD4 and like things a little more hectic.
Overall i would say this game wasn't too bad. It falls short of what i was expecting, but thats why i try to avoid hype about stuff.
