God of War III i is Greek Mythological ART in Motion.
In fact, its too bad that this game had to be ficticious rather than factual because it drove me to actually go and research the various characters and locales to find out more about them. Alot of the info is dark and includes themes such as rape and incest, but again- its mythology. This game could definitely help players remember the names of characters and their deeds prior to taking classes in college related to mythology.
As for the game...the words EPIC and BREATHTAKING come to mind.
The bosses are huge and the camera's movement to capture their size is incredible. Early on you get a sense of it as you battle Poseidon on Gaia's back, but later on Kratos' battle against Kronos once again ups the bar for massive battles in a video game.
Then there are the quieter scenes where Kratos simply interacts with other characters such as Pandora or her father, the blacksmith, Hephaestus. They never cease being intriguing. There is also an incredible interaction between Kratos and Hera - which isn't a massive boss battle, but rather, a puzzle in the infamous mythical labyrinth were Hera herself becomes a "key" to solving.
The music is non stop epic battle hymnals with excellent vocals. The sound FX are excellent. whether its slamming of hammers or Zeus' thunderbolts which sound like polaris missiles - sound and graphic presentation is 100% top notch.
Then there are the sexual scenes. Kratos gives it up to Aphrodite with two lesbians "playing" in the background - half naked. Though you can't actually see the action, it can be arousing.
Overall, there is no possible reason not to buy this game. Its as perfect as a hack&slash game can be.
