What do these ratings mean?

I've always been a fan of the NBA Live series.  It has really been the only NBA basketball game that I play.  I recently tried out the latest game in the NBA Live franchise.  The graphics are much improved since 07 because of the PS3 adaptation.  On the downside, I found the latest version had a lot of sliders, which were irritating because you had to sit there while you held the button for a good five minutes while the bar filled or emptied.  Also, if you have a fantasy draft, make sure you have something else to do while you're doing it.  In 08 you aren't able to skip the CPU picks and wait about a minute before you can make your next pick.  A simple drafting process which should only take about 5 minutes (depending on how long you consider each pick) will take at least 15 minutes, due to simply waiting for the other teams to finish selecting their picks.
On the up side, the graphics (as I said) were much improved.  There were also a few noticeable additions and interesting features.  For example, when the game starts up instead of just the customary menu screen, you can select your favorite team's home court, and begin the game by practicing with your favorite player.  Pressing the start button allows you to access the menu.  There is also a few improvements to the dynasty mode feature.  A big improvement, IMO, was the option to have your staff complete tasks like scouting and training, automatically.
In closing, this game had a few problems and areas to improve on, but it was still a worthwhile game if you're a fan of the series.  I give it a B-.
