What do these ratings mean?

So far, from the time I opened this game, I have to be a bit honest and say that I was really more interested in playing the online Co-op and competitive games.  With its sheer scale of playability and massive multiplayer format, there was nothing more for the Insomniac guys to say that would or could convince me even more of this the fun factor of playing online.  However, there were some drawbacks to it.

Trying to find a game is not hard at all.  By either allowing the search engine to start your own or throw you in the middle of one, finding a server online for playing is surely easy.  Whichever is your taste, co-op or competitive, the engine will find it.  The problem, however, was ever present when I had a friend join in to play off of my PS3.

It seemed that the game itself was deadset on not allowing me and buddy to play on the same PS3 while trying to join another game.  Even before we searched for a game, we would have a system error and be booted out of R2's network, only to find ourselves frustrated and annoyed.  Since my network has no problems playing when there is only one controller attached, I got to thinking that this was, simply put, the game's problems starting to show themselves.  So far its the only technical one that I have encountered, but a big one, nevertheless.

Since I'm still playing around with it and I am not even half-way done with the story mode, I felt that it would be a bit premature to write anything definite.  When the time comes that I have more than enough time to give this one its due credit, I assure that you will hear from me again.  I just had to get this problem off of my chest and seek answers from my fellow readers.
