What do these ratings mean?

I've never liked SOCOM probably because I was a PC Gamer before being a Console Online Gamer.  Socom to me, has always looked worse than my favorite PC games which moved to XBOX while PS2 was busy creating Socom.  Counter Strike for example blows Socom away in every reasonable way. Rainbow Six 3 on the original Xbox plays better than Socom in every single way.

The simple fact is, Socom is the PS2's answer to Counter Strike on XBOX meant to get PS2 owners online long enough for them to overlook the fact that PS2's graphics were well below those of the more powerful XBOX. Now, rather than properly move Socom forward to the HD era, the makers totally ignored games like COD4 and Vegas1/2 and just put "crap" out there for loyal "Socom" buyers to purchase. That strategy may have worked for PSP's Socom versions, but hopefully, enough people will read reviews and realize this game SUCKS. Then they won't buy it and SONY will get the hint.  You can't simply put out garbadge and hope people lap it up.
